What we do

Two questions bring most clients to us. A company has a reporting obligation — under the CSRD, under a lender's standards, or inherited from its group — and no data infrastructure behind it. Or the obligation is met on paper, but the numbers cannot be traced back to a source that an assurance provider will accept. Both are the same problem at different stages.

  • Sustainability reporting under ESRS, IFRS S1 and S2 and GRI — from the materiality assessment and data collection to a statement that survives limited assurance. TSRS too, where a group has a subsidiary in Türkiye.
  • Environmental and social due diligence for projects financed under the IFC Performance Standards, EBRD Performance Requirements, the AIIB framework and the Equator Principles.
  • Corporate and product carbon accounting, including the embedded emissions data an importer needs for CBAM reporting.
  • Gender and community investment programmes, report design and training.

Who we are

Etki Fabrikası is a boutique sustainability consultancy working for companies whose obligations sit in Europe. Our consultants have more than twenty years of field experience in heavy industry and manufacturing — mining, cement, textiles, retail and finance. We write the reports we advise on, and we are on site for the work behind them.

We are based in Istanbul, and that shows up in two places. Our fees are a long way below what the large firms charge for the same deliverable. And where your value chain reaches Türkiye and the countries around it, the people writing your disclosures can go to the site and talk to the workforce directly, in their own language, instead of sending another questionnaire.
